Now fixed: it reads the true last raw candle. Hard-refresh and the SBIN legend will show 1066.00 with "15:30 · Xh ago".

3. Same fix applied to the status bar "Last candle:" line and the 60s auto-refresh, so it stays live during market hours.

Note: during market hours the age indicator is the thing to watch — green ≤6m means quotes are flowing; if the legend price ever looks frozen mid-day, check the age color, not the bricks.
user
you could us the nomal candle option - you can write last renko time and candle time
assistant
Good call — show both. The collision resolver accounts for the extra line so it won't overlap indicator labels.

So now at a glance you can tell: price + when the last candle was made + how far the renko is lagging — and when R is way behind C in a chop zone, that's normal, not staleness.
This is knowledge pulled from a past session into the current chat. Loaded session 2 — TCharts Watcher Fix Verification (Aug 11, 102 msgs).
Summary of that session:
1. SBIN renko chart looked "stale" (last brick showed 12:50 close 1068) — diagnosed as NOT broken. Raw candles were complete to 15:30, but renko needs a 4-point reversal after an up-brick and SBIN never moved enough to print a new brick all afternoon. A from-scratch rebuild produced the identical tail, confirming it.
2. Price legend was sourcing the last *brick* instead of the last *raw candle* — fixed it to read the true last candle, so the legend shows live price + candle time. Same fix applied to the status bar "Last candle:" line and the 60s auto-refresh.
3. Per your suggestion, added a second line to the right-edge legend showing both times: candle time + age (freshness-colored) on line 1, renko brick time (dim) on line 2 — only in renko mode when they differ. Collision resolver adjusted for the extra line.
What would you like to do with this? Pick up where it left off, verify the fixes are still live, or something else?

can you look at studio bot and see what it did today
Here's what the studio bots did today (Aug 12):
TWO BOTS RUNNING
1. indigo_5m_buy_ce — ENTRY: sma50 cross_above 3candle_value (5m) → BUY_CE
2. indigo_5m_buy_pe — ENTRY: vidya cross_below 3candle_value (5m) → BUY_PE
Both are in WAITING mode (dry-run, broker=[none], no live orders).
BOT 1: indigo_5m_buy_ce
- Ran all day, polling every ~1min
- Condition NEVER triggered. SMA50 (5292.44) stayed below 3candle_value (5302.35) the entire session
- Zero entries, zero signals. Flat all day.
BOT 2: indigo_5m_buy_pe
- Condition triggered and STAYED triggered from 09:23 to 15:29 (entry cutoff)
- 341 "would have entered BUY_PE" signals fired — one every minute for ~6 hours
- Option: INDIGO25AUG265200PE, qty=150
- Price ranged: ₹82.70 (open) → ₹56.65 (first signal) → ₹58.25 (last signal at 15:29)
- The one order_log.jsonl entry at 15:29:45 was a dry_run (kotak broker)
- No actual orders placed. No exits (never entered).
ISSUES NOTED
1. Positionbook fetch failed 557 times today (all through midnight + sporadic). The bot can't confirm positions from the broker — but since broker=[none] and mode=WAITING, this is expected noise (no broker connected).
2. Chart API daily-signal fetch failed 13 times (10:05–13:15) — timeouts hitting 127.0.0.1:5050. The chart values service on port 5050 was slow/unresponsive during those windows.
3. Both bots have linked_to: null and legs: [] — no linked-bot cascade configured on these.
4. One "could not build payload" at 15:04 — transient (next poll succeeded).
BOTTOM LINE: Neither bot traded today. The PE bot had a valid signal for 6 hours straight but is in WAITING mode so it only dry-fired. The CE bot's condition never met. No positions, no fills, no P&L.

can we stop bot between 4:30 pm to 8:30 am - does it keep polling as of now
Yes — they poll 24/7. Here's the picture:
CE bot polls by hour today: 59/hr at midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am... every single hour. ~977 polls total, and roughly 16 hours of those are pure waste (after 16:30 and before 08:30). The run loop is a bare `while True / sleep(60)` with zero market-hours gating. The only time logic is `entry_cutoff` (blocks new entries after 15:20) but the bot keeps polling anyway.
Want me to add a market-hours gate to the run loop so it sleeps instead of polling outside 08:30–16:30? Two approaches:
1. Simple sleep — outside hours, sleep 5min and re-check (minimal change, bot stays alive)
2. Sleep-until-open — calculate seconds to 08:30 and sleep that long (cleaner, one log line "sleeping until market open")
I'd go with option 2 — cleaner, less log noise. The gate goes in `run()` before `check_and_trade()`. Want me to implement it?

Done. Both bots are now sleeping until 08:30 tomorrow.
What changed:
- Added a market-hours gate to the `run()` loop in bot.py
- Outside 08:30–16:30, the bot logs "Outside market hours — sleeping 14.5h until 08:30" and sleeps in 60s chunks (so SIGTERM/restart responds within 1 minute)
- At 08:30 it logs "Market hours — resuming polling" and resumes normal 60s polling
- No more 977 wasted polls overnight — just 1 log line at shutdown, 1 at resume
Both bots confirmed live and sleeping:
- CE: "sleeping 14.5h until 08:30"
- PE: "sleeping 14.5h until 08:30"
