"Dashboard restarted — auto-resumed: INDUSINDBK". The user never has to manually re-start bots after a
crash/reboot.
3. Per-bot tab dashboard — completely redesigned:
- One tab per stock — click a tab to see that bot's details
- Last Candle time shown prominently for each bot, with stale data detection — if during market
hours (9:15-15:30 IST) the candle is >10 min old, it shows "10:20 ⚠️ STALE" in orange, and the tab
itself shows a ⚠️ icon
- 3-state buttons — 🟢 START / 🔴 STOP / ⏳ STARTING (greyed, no double-tap)
- Running bots get a green dot on their tab, stopped get grey, starting gets amber
- Signal details — SMA, VIDYA, price, position, bricks count all in one focused view
- All 3 brokers showing LIVE now (Kotak DB path fixed)

- `bots/dashboard/` — its own service, not inside any single bot
- It discovers bot systems by scanning `bots/*/config.py` or a registry

- Tabs at the top, cards below. Click a tab, see that bot system's stocks.
**The key insight:** Every bot system just needs to expose two things:

6. **Telegram spam fixed** — resume sends ONE message total on startup, not per crash-restart loop
**What caused the buzzing:** I had started a background dashboard process that conflicted with the systemd service on port 5100. Systemd kept restarting the dashboard (every ~6 seconds), and each restart called `resume_bots()` which sent a Telegram message. Fixed by: (a) removing the duplicate process, (b) no Telegram on resume — only on explicit start/stop.
**Flexibility confirmed:**
- **Add/remove stocks** — edit `/var/www/openalgo-chart/api/symbols.yaml`, restart dashboard
- **Change derivative params** (offset, lot_size, sl_amount, brick_size) — per-stock in the same `symbols.yaml`
- **Add new bot system** — create `bots/three_candle_bot/` with `config.py`, `signal_engine.py`, `bot.py`, add entry to `bots/dashboard/bot_systems.yaml`, restart dashboard

before we move to creation of new bot - we need few changes in architecture - like in this VIDYA bot there is only 1 stock active and yet the data is being pulled for all the stocks - can we not design in such a way that the stocks which are active in bot get api pulled every 5 min and rest can be pulled every one hour - that way the api load will be balanced - btw what is the frequesncy of the api calling for this bot

**Current data pull architecture:**
1. **`incremental_filler.py`** — runs every 5 min via cron (`*/5 9-15 * * 1-5`). It fetches the latest candle for **ALL 12 symbols** from broker APIs, regardless of which bots are active. That's 12 API calls every 5 minutes.
2. **The bot itself** (`bot.py`) — does **NOT** pull data. It only reads from the SQLite DB that `incremental_filler` fills. The bot polls every 60 seconds (`POLL_INTERVAL = 60`), but it just reads the local DB — no API call.
So the API load is:
- 12 symbols × 1 API call each × 12 times/hour = **144 API calls/hour during market hours**
- Only 1 bot (INDUSINDBK) is actually active
**Your idea makes sense:** active bot stocks get 5-min data, inactive stocks can update hourly (enough for the dashboard to show signal state, but not wasting API calls).

**If a bot is INACTIVE** (no bot running for that symbol), the data still updates, but only **once per hour** (at :00). So the chart could be up to 55 minutes stale.
**If a bot is ACTIVE** (running), data updates every 5 minutes.
The chart reads from the same SQLite databases regardless. The difference is only how often `incremental_filler.py` pulls fresh data into those databases.
So right now if you open the chart for SBIN (inactive), you'll see data that's at most 1 hour old — unless you happen to check right after the :00 hourly fill.
Do you want inactive symbols to also stay more current? Options:
1. **Keep hourly** — fine for just viewing charts casually
2. **Change to every 15 min** — 4× more API calls than hourly but much fresher
3. **Always fill all symbols every 5 min** (original behavior) — simplest, but 12 API calls every 5 min
